Larry Bell Founder & Director

Larry Bell is the founder and director of Bell Counseling Services, bringing over 25 years of experience in counseling, education, and community-based services. He holds a Master’s degree in Counseling, is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and is a Certified Suicidal Ideation Counselor, with specialized training in anger management and grief counseling. He is a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he built a strong foundation in behavioral health and evidence-based practices.

Mr. Bell has extensive experience working with juveniles, adults, and families facing mental health challenges, substance-related issues, developmental disabilities, and life stressors. His background includes work with court-involved populations and with individuals from the community seeking counseling voluntarily for personal growth, emotional support, and life transitions.

His professional experience spans group home settings, court-mandated locked residential units, and community-based programs. He has collaborated closely with Child Protective Services (CPS), probation officers, and law enforcement, while also supporting individuals and families outside of court involvement.

Mr. Bell has also served as an Adjunct Instructor at Grayson County Community College, teaching counseling-related courses. He founded Bell Counseling Services to provide high-quality, compassionate, and accountable care in a professional environment that values dignity, respect, and meaningful change. His approach is grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and shaped by real-world experience across clinical, educational, justice-involved, and community settings.
